The Central Ohio Weavers Guild welcomes
anyone interested in fiber arts. Our members hold a wide variety
of skills and interests centered on fiber and we invite you to
join us in teaching, learning, and exploring the fiber arts.
Our main business meeting is on the third Saturday of each month from
September through May. Meetings are normally held at the Columbus
School for Girls,
Kirk House facility, 1885 N. Cassady Ave. Meetings
start at 1pm, with a social hour from noon to 1. A workshop is often
run prior to the meeting (and possibly after) for those who have
registered. See the
Calendar for a complete listing.
The guild also participates in demonstrations of fiber arts at the Ohio
State Fair and other venues.
Our members receive a bimonthly
newsletter that includes information about upcoming workshops,
demonstrations, and other fiber arts news. It often contains drafts and
weaving samples. An annual membership guide is compiled and mailed to
each member. The guild also maintains an email listserv.
In addition, members can register for workshops (see the
Calendar for
examples). A wide range of equipment is available at a nominal rental
fee, including:
